More about Ketelbinkie
At Ketelbinkie Swimming, you’ll train at your own level and according to your goals.
Whether you’re just starting out in competitive swimming or are an experienced competitive swimmer, with us you’ll work on your technique, endurance, and speed. You can train one to four times a week under the guidance of certified trainers at three different pools in Rotterdam.
To participate in our training sessions, it’s important that you’re already able to swim independently and feel confident in the water. We don’t offer swimming lessons to teach you how to swim; instead, we help you build on your current skill level to become a better, stronger, and more technically proficient swimmer.

Our training sessions are serious and challenging. In addition to our regular swim training sessions, we frequently organize clinics and extra technique, strength, and endurance training sessions. Do you want to compete in swimming meets? At Ketelbinkie, you can also train specifically to participate in national and international swimming competitions, including events specifically for the queer sports community.
But Ketelbinkie is about more than just swimming laps. We are a queer & friends swimming club where everyone is welcome and can be themselves. We believe it’s important that our club is an inclusive and safe place, both in and out of the pool.
And besides swimming, there’s plenty to do. With social gatherings, swimming competitions, activities, and our annual training weekend, the Ketelbinkies are a close-knit and diverse group. It’s a club where playing sports together often leads to wonderful friendships.
Ketelbinkie Swimming is affiliated with the KNZB, which allows our members to participate in national and international swimming competitions.
